How sponsors are chosen and ordered
Relevance comes first. Which sponsor Vet Hub shows depends on the topic of the benefit or discussion you are viewing, on a need you describe to the assistant and, when the assistant suggests a sponsor, on the state in your profile, so that a sponsor that serves your state comes before one that does not. When Vet Hub picks a sponsor for you, the sponsor's level does not change how many sponsor messages you are shown, does not put a sponsor in a place it does not fit, and does not put it ahead of a sponsor that fits you better. Only when more than one sponsor is equally relevant does the sponsorship level, highest first, decide which one is shown. A list that shows every sponsor, such as the Discounts page, is not a pick for you: it is ordered by sponsorship level, highest first. Every sponsor is marked "Sponsored".
