Personalization
Your profile (service branch, era, location, interests) is used to tailor benefit suggestions, AI assistant responses, and sponsor recommendations. You can edit or remove these fields at any time. Health and disability answers are asked for only if you agreed to them separately, and are used only to match benefits (see the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy).
AI assistant
You are talking to an AI, not a person. Vet Hub is not affiliated with VA and is not VA-accredited, and the assistant cannot decide whether you are eligible for any benefit. Messages you send to Brittany or Miguel are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. We include a snapshot of your profile and your recent conversation as context; the snapshot leaves out your "Health and wellness" interest unless you agreed to health and disability answers. Conversations are stored in your account until you delete them, withdraw your agreement and delete your chats at the same time, or delete your account, so you can pick them up later.
Community posts
What you post in RallyPoint is visible to other signed-in veterans. Your display name, service branch, era, and state are visible alongside your posts. Direct messages are private between you and the other person, and only available between veterans who follow each other. We don't read them unless one of you reports a message; reported messages are reviewed by our moderation team and by an automated AI reviewer (Anthropic). Deleting your account deletes the conversation for both people.
Sponsor matching
Sponsors are chosen by relevance first. We use the topic of the benefit or discussion you are viewing, what you tell the assistant and, when the assistant suggests a sponsor, the state in your profile, so that a sponsor that serves your state comes before one that does not. Only when more than one sponsor is equally relevant does the sponsorship level, highest first, decide which one we show, and a list of every sponsor is ordered by sponsorship level, highest first. We do not share your individual profile with sponsors. We record when a sponsor is shown to you and when you view, dismiss or click it as first-party usage data, linked to your account when you are signed in. Reports to sponsors (when launched) will be aggregated and anonymized.
We don't sell your data
We never sell or rent personal information. We only share data with the service providers who run the platform on our behalf.
